DDM jointly with Zhongshan University, holds an academic seminar entitled “Protecting the Spiritual Environment and Humanistic Concern: the Formation and Development of the Chan Culture of East Asia: Idea and Practice” Zeng Jiqun, the executive director of the Dharma Drum Foundation for Humanities and Social Science, signs a contract with Liang Qing-yin, vice president of Zhongshan University. Vice President Liang awarded Master Sheng Yen with the title of “Guest Professor” on behalf of Zhongshan University to honor his outstanding academic achievements and contributions to education.
