Qualifications

1. International students are defined as those who are neither citizens of the Republic of China nor Oversea Chinese. Those who are neither citizens of the Republic of China nationality annulled for 8 years or more are eligible to apply as international students. This regulation does not apply to students who are citizens of Hong Kong, Macau or the People's Republic of China.
2. International students who are recommended to study in Taiwan under cultural exchange and cooperation agreements with foreign governments, schools, institutions, and cultural or educational organizations, shall not be subject to the restrictions listed in section 1.1.
3. International students who graduated from a college or university recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Republic of China can apply for admission (please refer to the Website http://english.moe.gov.tw/mp.asp?mp=1). International students with a Bachelor's degree or withe equivalent qualifications to that of our academic degree system are eligible to apply for Master's program.
4. Applicant has never studied in R.O.C as an Overseas Chinese student.

Scholarship Information

• DDU International Student Scholarship
  The university facilitates two types of scholarship programs for international students(type A and type B). Type A provides NT.120,000 and type B provides NT.60000 per academic year. The tuition is directly paid from the awarded scholarship while the remainder is transferred semi-annually to the recipient's account in March and October. To apply for these scholarship, please mark the option on the application form for international students.
• Taiwan Scholarship
  International students can apply for the Taiwan Scholarship, which is granted by the government, through a Taiwan Overseas Mission before they arrive in Taiwan. For further information, please go to the Website http://english.moe.gov.tw/mp.asp?mp=1).
