Program Objectives
Self-Reflection and Interpersonal Relationship
Deep reflection of one’s inner life starts with the understanding of one’s relationship with others. This process of reflection involves strengthening one’s self-awareness and examining life values. It all starts with examining various moral dimensions to social life, gradually expands to understanding the mechanism of different subcultures, and ends with expanding one’s horizons about multicultural issues.
Practical Methods to Actualize Deeper Dimensions of Life
Our curriculum includes courses on thanatology, community social work, multilevel counseling, and other practical skills. The aim of these courses is to facilitate the students’ self-transformation and nurture their positive thinking. Courses take place both inside and outside a traditional classroom setting, both domestically and internationally, in order to enhance the impact of the subject matter of the particular course.
Establishing Independent Working Skills and Professional Competence
Required courses such as “Program Designs and Evaluation,” “Systemic Ethics and Dynamic Inter-personal Relationships,” and “Deepening Introspection Skills Through Mindfulness and Meditation Practice” aim to help students establish the necessary skills to work professionally and independently. These skills include the ability to analyze multilayered cultural expressions and integrate classroom knowledge with practicum experience in different life situations.
Actualizing Moral Values through Practical Skills
Required courses that establish the necessary interpersonal skills for students to cultivate themselves and successfully work with others include “Conversation and Communication Therapy,” “Group Dynamics and Action Theory,” and other related courses.
