The third International Conference on the Thought of Master Sheng Yen: The Significance of Master Sheng Yen’s Teachings for the Present Age will take place from May 28-31, 2010, in Taipei, Taiwan at the National Taiwan University Convention Center. The conference is hosted by The Sheng Yen Education Foundation in honor of the late master’s life work in Buddhist studies and socially engaged Buddhism. Collaborating institutions for the conference include Dharma Drum University, Dharma Drum Buddhist College, the Dharma Drum Young Buddhists’ Society, the Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies, and the Center for Buddhist Studies of National Taiwan University.Geared toward the academic community of scholars from Taiwan and abroad,  as well as the DDM Sangha, the conference is a symposium on Master Sheng Yen’s thought and the general modern construction of Chinese Buddhism.
