  • Light Environment
    • Natural lighting is used as much as possible for the indoor demand. A sunlight control device is supplied and can be operated by individual users.
    • The indoor lighting system is carefully planned and designed. Based on the concept of the contrast degree of illumination and the actual need, the illumination degree is properly designed and accordingly reduced.
    • Indoor lighting uses a high-performance controller to effectively light only where and when needed for the required period and with the necessary intensity.
    • The illumination makes use of durable and high-efficiency lighting.
    • An automatic sensing device is used whenever possible. The control logic will follow the user’s living habits. For example, some parking lot lighting will use the sensing devise to turn lights on or off to save electric power.
    • Renewable energy is used as much as possible. For example, the on-campus signage lighting will employ LED lighting powered by solar energy to save electricity and reduce the installation of traditional wires.
    • By simplifying the choice of lighting, i.e. choosing one kind of lighting that can be used in variety of applications, we will not only reduce the transportation costs but also the installation costs.
    • A single indoor illumination area can be separated properly into several smaller areas which can be controlled individually.
  • Micro-Climate Control
    • We use natural ventilation for indoor temperature control as much as possible. This method can regulate the indoor temperature outside of the air conditioning season and adequately supply fresh outdoor air.
    • Based on the principle of rising hot air, large size indoor spaces will first emit the hot air by using high positioned windows and smoke windows or smoke extraction equipment before they start using the air conditioning in order to save energy.
    • All incoming air will be processed by a heat recovery ventilation system in all above-average size indoor spaces to reduce traditional air conditioning energy consumption.
    • Regular air conditioner spaces utilize the external air-cooled room method to reduce the consumption of energy during the non-summer season.
    • Installing the air conditioning will be based on the various space requirements and the thermal loading of separate different areas. The inside and outside of the peripheral region can be controlled individually.
    • The type of high-efficiency air conditioners chosen depends on the purpose and the control type of each space.
    • An online CO/CO2 concentration detector is used to control activation of the external air control system in large-size spaces and the mechanical ventilation in parking lots in order to save power.
    • We limit the use of furniture and materials which contain volatile organic compounds as much as possible.
